As we already knew from the anime, the female trainer is Lyra. The male trainer, however, was just revealed to be named Ethan. I like these names a lot. :]
Thanks to gambling regulations in Europe, the European version of Platinum didn't have working slot machines. In HG/SS, even the American version has had them removed and replaced with a minesweeper-like Voltorb mini-game.
Shinto Ruins are now Sinjoh Ruins.
Other stuff was revealed too, but these are the biggest changes.
This is probably the last big update. :[

That was in all of Europe? I thought it was just in New Zealand, which isn't even in Europe.
